Rainbow Lounge Raid Documentary Premieres

Nearly three years after a police raid at a Fort Worth gay bar, a new documentary is bringing the incident back into the spotlight. The documentary ‘Raid at the Rainbow Lounge’ premieres tonight in Sundance Square.

In 2009, officers from the Fort Worth Police Department, there without their supervisors’ knowledge, and agents with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) converged on the Rainbow Lounge and began making arrests.

DPS Names Fort Worth Woman As A Most Wanted Criminal

It’s been 10 years since a woman has graced the state’s Most Wanted List, but gang-affiliated fugitive Damesha Traylor’s laundry list of criminal charges has broken the streak, a Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman said Wednesday.

The 33-year-old is a known member of the CRIPS gang and was last seen in Fort Worth. She’s been arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Possession of a Controlled Substance and has logged 17 arrests for Prostitution, according to DPS records. She’s wanted for a parole violation.

Girl Killed, Boy Injured in Fort Worth Hit-and-Run

A 5-year-old girl died Sunday afternoon and a 6-year-old boy remains in the hospital following a hit-and-run accident on Fort Worth’s south side. Meanwhile, the driver who allegedly hit them is facing charges.

Police say a group of children were playing in the 5200 block of Southcrest Court, just north of I-20 and Crowley Road. They were headed for a nearby park. Witnesses say an older child coaxed 5-year-old Khyla Hayes and 6-year-old Lamarion Perry to cross the street.

DFW Airport to build $175 million garage

Finding a parking space at Terminal A will be a little easier once Dallas/Fort Worth Airport completes a $175 million, 7,793-space garage unveiled Thursday. DFW officials released the plans for the five-story garage, which will be one continuous building, unlike the current 5,000-space, three-section garage. The new garage will be in addition to the $1.9 billion terminal redevelopment plan the airport started in 2011.

2 People Dead In Wrong-Way Car Crash

Two people are dead and another person is in the hospital after a head-on car crash along Highway 287 in Fort Worth. The incident happened at about 2:15 a.m. Monday morning, and involved two people in a Cadillac and a tow truck driver.

Fort Worth Police Review Man’s In-Custody Death

Police are investigating the death of a North Texas man found beaten after his arrest on an alcohol-related charge. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office on Tuesday had not yet ruled on a cause or manner of death for 45-year-old Larry Sternberg of Fort Worth. More >
